Offering luxurious accommodations with free Wi-Fi at the lodge, free meals and a private patio boasting stunning Coral Sea views, Orpheus Island Lodge is surrounded by serene, white sand beaches and 1,368 hectares of National Park.
Guests can take a dip in an infinity pool or relax with a unique, indigenous-inspired treatment at the Gwandalan Day Spa. The resort has a bar and restaurant with an alfresco-style dining area. Accommodations rates include all gourmet meals prepared by the head chef, using local produce and fresh seafood.
Located just 50 mi north of Townsville, Orpheus Island offers a secluded paradise escape set on the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It is a 30-minute scenic helicopter ride from Townsville Airport or a 1.5 hour ride from Cairns. The surrounding World Heritage-listed Marine Park features snorkeling and diving with over a thousand species of tropical reef fish.
Each of the refurbished beachfront rooms offer bright and modern décor, a 32-inch LED flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station. Crisp white bed linens and Li’tya guest amenities are provided.

Access to Orpheus is via a 30-minute helicopter journey from Townsville over the picturesque coral-studded sea. There is one daily scheduled transfer from Townsville each day from AUD 1060 return per person. Please note that the cost of this transfer is not included in your accommodation booking and must be arranged and paid separately. Please contact Morris Escapes Reservations in advance to arrange transfers prior to confirming any domestic or international flights. You can contact the reservations team for the lodge using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Transfers will only be confirmed once accurate body weights are provided. If guest weights are not supplied at the time of booking, an upgrade cost for a private charter may apply as seats are limited.
